UK Sailmakers Texas

UK Sailmakers Texas was founded in 2001 and is well known locally and beyond for producing race winning one design sails under the direction of Pedro Gianotti. Pedro’s designs have earned a strong reputation across many competitive classes for speed, consistency, and reliability, and his history with the loft continues to shape its approach today.

Beginning in 2026, sailmakers Kelly Sears and Steph Jarvis join the Texas loft, building on that foundation while expanding its capabilities. Together, the team produces custom racing and cruising sails for both offshore and inshore sailing, combining decades of sailmaking experience with modern design tools including Azure, AccuCut, and AccuMeasure software to ensure each sail is optimized for its boat and use.

The 3,500 square foot Texas production facility is fully equipped with advanced sailmaking technology, including a Carlson plotter cutter and heavy duty sewing machines. Many sails still being designed and built locally in-loft.

UK Sailmakers Texas has extensive experience across a wide range of one design and performance classes including J/Boats (J/22, J/24, J/80, J/105, J/109), Melges, Etchells, Ensigns, and other racing fleets throughout North America. The loft also builds cruising sails from small daysailers to modern ocean cruising yachts, produced start to finish in Texas for boats up to 40 feet using top quality sailcloth and hardware.
