X-DRIVE: FAST ENOUGH TO FINISH FIRST, DURABLE ENOUGH TO CRUISE

Left: Clive Svendsen’s X-Drive Endure sails on his Catalina 42 STARLIGHT. The roller/furling main has vertical battens allowing the sail to have much more area than a batten-less sail with a hollow roach. The roller furling genoa has a foam luff for better furling and reefing as well as UV furling covers on the leech and foot that are glued on to make the sail smoother. Above: Thomas Lehtonen’s Cal 36 RUNAWAY with an X-Drive genoa and Dacron full-batten main. Click on the pictures to enlarge them.

Congratulations to our X-Drive customers on their victories in Del Rey Yacht Club’s July 5th Double-Single Handed Race:

1st PHRF B Astrid, X362 Sport, Rush Gomez
1st Cruising A, Runaway, Cal 36, Thomas Lehtonen
1st Cruising B, Starlight, Catalina 42II, Clive Svendsen
Unfortunately (or fortunately) all five of the Cruising B entries are our customers.
