ABOUT THIS LOFT
De Vries Sails — sails and canvas on the IJsselmeer.
De Vries Sails has been making sails in Makkum since 1958 and joined the UK Sailmakers group to bring the design tools and technology of the worldwide network to Dutch sailors. The Makkum office and lofts cover canvas, yacht sails and repairs.
We supply a very complete, high-quality above-deck package at genuine value for money, with trim guides, measurement forms, product specifications and brochures available to download. Personal attention, sound advice, correct handling and good service are what we stand for.
One design is a speciality. We build for the national Dutch classes — Pampus, Regenboog, Valk and the 12ft dinghy among them, all classic wooden boats with a long Dutch heritage — as well as international classes including the FJ, Vaurien, Yngling and Solo.
