Four ways we build a better sail: Titanium membranes with continuous carbon yarns laid dry, X-Drive® load-path laminates that bring membrane performance to working sailors, ISL structural luffs that answer headstay sag, and Matrix® spinnakers that hold their shape when the breeze is up.

HOW WE BUILD
Four technologies, one goal: shape that lasts.
Three of our constructions put the strongest fibers along the sail’s load paths, so the fibers carry the loads instead of the cloth; ISL builds structure into the luff itself. Your local loft will tell you honestly which is the right call for your boat and how you sail it.
X-Drive®
The load-path construction we developed to bring membrane-sail performance to working sailors — racers and cruisers alike. A shaped cross-cut base sail plus a bonded array of continuous carbon, UHMWPE, or S-Glass fiber tapes running corner to corner, so the fibers take the loads — not the seams, not the base cloth.
Best for: Racing mains and genoas, performance cruising and offshore, or club racing and coastal cruising on a budget — three fibers, one system.

Continuous carbon yarns running unbroken between the three corners of the sail, laminated between two layers of 3D-shaped film — our membrane construction for sailors who want the lightest, stiffest sail they can buy. The yarns are laid dry, without glue, for a lighter, more flexible sail that is 15–30% more durable than glued-yarn membranes.
Best for: Performance cruising and club racing where light weight and long life matter most; Uni-Titanium for grand prix and serious offshore programs.

A modern answer to headstay sag — a structural luff built into the sail so your headsail keeps the entry it was designed with, and you keep pointing. The result is a headsail with a consistent entry from light air to a breeze, and less sensitivity to how hard you can crank the backstay.
Best for: Racing genoas and jibs, performance-cruising furling headsails, and shorthanded crews — pairs with both Titanium and X-Drive®.

A spinnaker’s loads start at a corner, run in arcs through the sail, and end at another corner. Matrix® spinnakers use a full radial panel layout so the strongest yarns of the nylon sit along those load paths — the most durable way to build a spinnaker, and the reason the sail keeps its designed section rather than stretching fuller season after season.
Best for: Cruising and racing spinnakers and Code Zeros, with room for a custom color scheme of your own.
