Voyager sailcloth from Nautosphere is a next-generation woven fabric ideal for offshore and performance cruisers. This hybrid material combines high-tenacity polyester with Dyneema® yarns (a UHMWPE fiber), significantly improving strength and durability over traditional Dacron.
Voyager is a fill-oriented cloth, meaning the stronger Dyneema yarns run across the width of the fabric—aligned with the highest loads in crosscut sails. This results in exceptional strength where it matters most.
What sets Voyager apart is its innovative “Cold-Setting” process, which chemically shrinks the fabric to create ultra-high fiber density. This technique provides superior stretch resistance and shape retention—far beyond what’s possible with conventional heat-setting methods.
